What to specify in an RFQ
- Write the band as 4.5-5.5cm. Confirm whether the producer also offers a larger band above it, since some list Melouki for pods over 5.5cm.
- Fibre is the defining risk at this size. Tighten the fibrous pod tolerance well below the 2% general standard and insist on a band-specific sample before committing.
- Availability is the widest of any band, including outside the June to September peak, which makes One the most practical option for continuous industrial supply.
- Confirm the intended cooking method with your own customer. One grade in a dish designed around Extra or Zero pods will read as tough.
